Picture
1. When is my lunch? PCHS has 3 lunches. Your lunch is based on your 4th period class and it lasts 30 minutes. Click here or more information on Champs Cafe and qualifying for free/reduced lunch
2. How can I monitor my/my chid's grades? FOCUS is a website where parents and students can view grades, attendance and discipline. Call Mary Tabri, Guidance Secretary at 941-255-7485 ext 3137. Some teachers also have websites that have a calendar of assignments.
Click here to see if your teacher does!
3. I am having trouble in a class, what do I do? Students and parents should speak directly with their teacher. He or she will be the best resource for help. It is recommended that parents email teachers with any questions. Email addresses can be viewed on FOCUS, however it is always
firstname_lastname@ccps.k12.fl.us. The National Honor Society tutors students in any subject Monday-Wednesday from 2:00-2:30pm in Room A100. You do not need to preregister. Just show up with the necessary materials. See your Spanish teacher or Mrs. Matthews for a list of Spanish tutors. Still having trouble? Contact Mrs. Matthews to schedule a parent-teacher conference. Conferences are held at 6:45am.
4. How is a semester grade calculated? Q1 grade(35%) + Q2 grade(35%) + Midterm exam (30%)= Semester Grade.  Exception: math classes(see your syllabus). You earn two semester grades, one in December and the other in May. These are the only grades on your official transcript.
5. What is second-chance options? If you fail the first semester of a course
and then earn at least a "C" for Q3, Q4 and the Final exam in addition to complying with the attendance policy, the first semester "F" will be changed to a "D." It is recommended that the student ask Mrs. Matthews to confirm that this change occured on the transcript.
